Janie Links has held senior permanent positions both as an in-house recruiter and as a head-hunter for search firms. She has continued this work as an independent recruiter, working either in-house or for search firms on an interim or retained basis.

Janie takes on responsibilities which cover the entire duration of the recruitment cycle: from sourcing of candidates through her extensive and firmly established network of contacts, drawn from a pool of motivated high-achievers; screening from a long list to gauge the most suitable candidates; evaluating candidates through phone and face-to-face interviews; submission of shortlist to the client; negotiating and closing offers.

Communication is Key

Throughout this process, Janie places great emphasis on maintaining the quality of the candidate experience through clear, comprehensive and frequent communication. This focus on communication is also very apparent in her approach to the relationship with clients, whether they be senior executives looking to fill a role in-house, or search firms retained for a specific role.

Janie is enterprising and tenacious, quick to identify commercial opportunities and major potential hurdles and to convey her thinking to the client before the moment is lost. She prides herself on her intuition, her ability in a short space of time to assimilate the range of a candidate's attributes and appraise their relevance to the role in question.
